Clio 200 Locking

Just a quick question, is the clio 200 meant to auto lock when you walk away?

No, you need to press one of the lock buttons either on door handles/boot renault badge or key card.

However it will self lock after a couple of minutes if the keycard is out of the car (part of the CAT 1 immoboliser/alarm requirement)

I know my clio used to lock itself if you unlocked the car but didn't open the door.

Very clever, always found it a nice feature safety wise.

So in theory if leave it for 30 mins, it should lock its self when the key card is not near?

Yes my 182 used to do that as well, it would lock if you opened it but didn't start the engine
