Hi all,
Fairly new to this website and not really posted much, just read loads of threads.

I bought my 2010 NA 200 cup at the end of Feb from a Renault dealer with 6 month warranty.

The gearbox synchro has gone.
Dropped it off two weeks ago.
The dealer mechanic has said it needs a new box, but Renault warranty company want the gearbox to be stripped by the dealer, they may send the parts for a rebuild. Or after investigation, authorise a new box.
Anyone herd of Renault rebuilding a failed 200 gearbox?
I know loads of people have had the box replaced.
What are your thoughts? Any advice?

Not a 200 but my 2012 1.2 had two new gearboxes replaced at a main dealer under warranty. Took a few days each time.

I know it's common for the box synchro to fail, but is it common for the Renault dealer to strip and rebuild it?
