just came across this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KL6ZYRMyWwc
Seen that one before on 197.net.
Am not expert but surely some sort of fire extinguisher would have helped? Ie. put the fire out if it was small enough to do it when it first "caught".
Yep agreed this is why you dont go on the track without one in the boot!
I love the guy who is trying to stop the fire... Like if he can go home with his car afterwards !
Jeezuz, is this a known problem?
Yeah, it's like how BMW's come with no indicators as standard. Not many people spec them either, I've heard.French IIRC.
flol how do you make it do that? all tips welcome
nothing id love moreI bet that's a horrible feeling watching your car go up in flames.
nothing id love more
Very strange as my brothers 200 (59 plate done 28,000 miles completely standard and with a full renault history) recently had a minor fire around the steering/ignition column.
Its with Renault as we speak!!!
some years ago a big thunderstorm hit external pipes of my house one of the baddest results was the gas pipes of the boiler exploding ad turning into a ball of fire.. my brain stopped working and put my hands inside the fireball to close gas pipes.Jesus. My car or not - I would have been stood further away from it than the goon in the first 30 seconds! :quiet:
D.
Thinked to put one on my car too last week... this week see this.. ehhe a sign of fate mate..f**k that think I'm going to invest in a fire extinguisher for my car (paranoia) wouldn't want to stand and watch my car burn like that.
I wonder how much they charge to replace a melted section of track.. cheap i bet!!
