Clio 200 (what are the signs of a failed swivel hub?)

As above, the 200 makes a strange noise after accelerating fairly hard, sounds like its coming from the offside front, with every rotation of the wheel like a metallic sound (sorry for how vague that sounds!) Seems to go away after a few minutes which is even stranger!

I’ll get the car booked in to a specialist but would like to see if anyone can shed any light.

Steering doesn't recentre properly, steering feels vague and often you'll hear a grinding when you turn lock to lock if the grease has turned to dust

Thank you Tait and Lyle, i’ll need to invest in a good jack to get the wheel off the c**t.

I gather if its a hub issue there will be excess play in it?

Yeah there will be play side to side, I think the best way to check is by prying them

What does it feel like driving it?
