Clio 4wd

  clio 182
Hi, was hoping someone could answer a question for me. Does anyone know if it’s true that a Clio shell will basically drop straight on (a 182 shell) to a Kangoo 4wd chassis
I’ve heard this rumor for a while so I was wondering if it was actually true?

I believe it's more the other way round as they don't have a chassis. You would install the kangoo 4x4 rear subframe into the Clio. How hard that is I don't know.

There have been people out the 182 engine into a kangoo 4x4 and more still that say the gearbox/rear axle aren't upto the torque.

A 4x4 Clio would be pretty cool.

The same 4wd system was used in the scenic with an f4r, albeit the 138hp version, so the engine should bolt to it with little issue.

However it's a weak system and If your going to all the hassle of fitting the rear subframe to the Clio which won't be easy, you may as well use something better like an Impreza or MK1 Audi TT

there are 2 different 4x4 systems, the scenic rx4 and the kangoo 4x4.

Plenty of videos of them on the internet being used on green lanes and stuff.
