Clio Accident...

Hi guys, needing a little help with something.
Last week while cornering 'slightly' too hard the back of my clio spun out and i ended up goin sideways through a ditch.
Ive decided to repair it myself instead of having a claim on the insurance lol!
My side airbags deployed so this means new seats but do i need the ECU reset before installing the new seats as im worried that as soon as i reconnect the battery the airbags will deploy.
Also the car cut out at the time but now decided it will start however it dies off as i give it revs and backfires....will resetting the ECU fix this and where can i get this done?

with reguards to the cutting out i am sure on the left front suspension leg under bonnet there is a inertia cut-out switch which just need resetting , it cuts out the fuel pump circuit , just a ball bearing on a spring loaded seat , pust it downwards start the engine and hey presto it should run.

Ok thanks barnesautos. I'll try that.
And 'Nick P' i've only decided to do this due to there being very little damage...there was a bent wishbone and the airbags decided to deploy even tho it was a small impact to the sill below the passenger door...which is now fixed...

With regards to the seats you will need new bags but the seat covers can often be sewn back up again but only by a specialist as they have to be done so they can deploy safely again. You can safely remove the seats and do this work as long as the battery has been disconnected then reinstall them and either the airbag light will reset (some modern cars do but I can't remember off the top of my head whether yours will) or you'll need to get the light reset by a specialist. You will not be able to reset the airbag light with the bags deployed you''ll only be able to clear it once all the airbags are sorted.
