Clio Cup Radiator Fan

  2016 Audi RS3
How many engine cooling fan speeds does the Clio 172 Cup have? I've just been looking at the engine bay of a 172 FF and it seems to have some differences such as an extra switch and 3 wire relay pack/sensor on the radiator which my Cup is missing.

Hi Fred,

Should I have a 30A fuse in the #2 position of the underbonnet fuse/relay board? There is wiring there but the fuse is missing :-/

got a pic? the cups do have a few 12V cables going to various points on the pannel but no fuse in place

it doesn't have a fuse, and i have no idea why not, all three cups in the workshop at the moment are the same

Ok. Appreciate a bit of advice here if possible Fred....

I went to a Renault tuning specialist (I won't name them), and had some work done to the car. Aux belt and service etc.

Afterwards they ran a diagnostic on my car using what looked like a Snap On fault code reader. They told me that the ECU was logging an open circuit on the high speed cooling fan circuit. I was advised that this would be a front bumper off job and a full investigation of the wiring at the front of the car.

Is this information incorrect, given the fact that the Cup only has one fan speed?

you can check it all with taking the bumper off, i'm not a electronic diagnotics expert, but i would suggest taking it to a renault dealer and having it hooked upto the CLIP computer to see if there's a problem (might cost you £40 or there abouts)
