Clio cutting out!!!

okay been a problem for a while now, clio starts and runs fine, once it warms up i stop it backfires and cuts out, then wont start again untill the engine cools down, had a track day and was booting it, it didnt have a problem... any idea what this could be? some have said just lack of use...

Sounds like possibly the engine coolant temp sensor. Quite common on the older renaults with this engine.
