Clio DCi 2007 65BHP

I have a Renault Clio Dci 2007 65nhp.
It has been recently giving me intermittent 'check injection' fault error on the dashboard when driving, even at slower speeds 20-30mph.
The spanner and check injection pops up intermittently, say every 20-30 seconds or so and I experience power loss.
Mechanic plugged his code reader in the car and it said 'actuator' fault, mechanic has said that the car is now useless and I should just trade it in as an actuator fault will require a new turbo and with parts+labor then it probably isn't worth the cost.
Any advice guys, should I trade it in or have a second look?
