Clio DCI 65 What Mods for power boost?

Hi to everyone firstly
Im picking up a clio 01 94k Dynamiqee 65 Tonight

As far as i know its standard spec (some one choose the tape deck over cd grrr)

Now hypotheticly speaking if i was to increase the power of the clio wih out killing the engine

this is my 1st diesel an im only going off what i have read on forums so if someone could point me in the right direction

what bhp gains will i get and are they worth it?.

Chip / Remap +20 BHP (i dont want a massive incrase here so i can keep the engine sweet)

Those bhp boxes off ebay? +???bhp

Intercooler +???bhp

New full exhurst +???bhp

Some form of new AirBox +???bhp

Anyone that can fill me in on what else i could add and also the average bhp figures?

id go for DCi100 intercooler, pannel filter, decat then remap

i was hoping not to go for the decat, i dont want to have to take it to a garage everytime i need a new mot, i used to have a old old corsa with a decat, an was nothing but trouble.


whats a pannel filter?......is that just the normal airfilter or something else
what does an intercooler do, other than cool something, how would it improve the the performance of the engine?

ideally im wanting mods that will help the engine work more easily rather than pushing for a max chip that will just burn the engine much faster

like above, dont buy nothing from ebay, them 'boxes' are just resisters and they dont work. panel filter is a replacment air filter which will help the car breathe easier. get a full exhuast. dont bother getting a de-cat. then get a remap which will help both power and MPG. all these things should set you back around £500.
