Clio DCI Question?!

  '06 MK3 Clio 1.4L
Hey all,

Booked in for a decat at prospeed friday the 15th for my 2004 clio 1.5 dci 80....

He asked me if there was a flexipipe on the downpipe, and to be honest im clueless, do any of you know if theres a flexipipe on the downpipe?

He said if there isnt i will have to pay an extra £35 or so to have one fitted...

Hope to see a reply soon :)

Thanks all

they have just after the cat but not attached to the cat itself , howmuch is it costing you ?

Its costing me £79 which includes design + fitting + VAT, which aint so bad i guess...

as above, no flexi on the cat so your ok

Wait im a bit confused, he asked me if there was a flexipipe on the downpipe, so there is one just after the cat but not attatched to the cat itself, so does this mean i wont have to fork out the extra to have one fitted? sorry but this is the first time i have ever gone for a decat so im learning lol...

nope you wont need one, the flexi is there to stop the exhaust being pulled about when the engine moves on its mounts, so when you fit your new decat your standard cat back exhaust will still have a flexi on it to take the movement

ok thats great news, will report back with pics and some vids once its fitted next week...

so do some cars not have flexipipes at stock then? just wondering why he asked if there was one thats all as it seems that all cars should have one to handle the movement...
