  Clio DCI
Hey guys,
I'm new to all of this and im just wondering if someone could answer a quick query i have about my Clio.

I have a 2004 Renault Clio, Diesel, which i have recently brought off my brother, i don't piticually like the sound of it, ha, if i installed an induction kit and put an exhaust on it would it make any difference? I know obviously it wont sound like a petrol but would it sound nice or is it a waste of money.

Again sorry again the "noobie" ness, Thanks in advance

put a 2.5 inch back box on and it should sound a bit better. As for induction kit either that or a k&n panel filter maybe better as you wont get heat soak.

I got an increase in economy with a SS exhaust. (dci 80). That's based on a 200 mile trip before, and the same trip after, both pretty much the same speeds etc. I got 48mpg on the first, and 54 on the second.

If you get induction/exhaust and remap then it will definately make more difference than a remap on stock parts. However if you don't remap, you will be stuck to notice a great difference.

Depends whether you think spending £1000 to make your car a bit faster and louder is worth it.

You would see a good increase in mpg with normal driving, but it'll never be enough to recoup any of your costs.

the dci sound doesnt really bother me infact id go so far as to say i like it

i didnt think zorsts would make much diffrence to mpg or had any real advantage on dcis
i thought the best thing you could to to improve mpg an performance was remap
didnt think you could do much to make it sound less tractor

K & N pannel filter and remap are the only way to go with derv tunning !!! ;) I get nearly 70 mpg doing a run to work up the m20 !!! from £20 ill get bout 300 miles !!! (04 dci 65/87)

i owuldnt bother with a full exhaust system just the back box because the centre section has no silencers in it anyway and the bore is plenty big enough.

You'll get a bit different noise levels and a different sound but realy its not that worth it same goes for the intake filter etc.

If you weant power and possible mpg improvents then tunning boxes/reamps are the way forward nothing else is worth it on a good condition car.
