Clio Extreme 4 rear speaker question.

t0m

  Megane 225 Turbo
Ok, so I'm new here, hi!

Just bought myself a 55 plate Clio Extreme 4 1.2 16v blah blah blah. I'm really pleased with it. I'm only 18 though hence the engine size. Got a fairly good deal and all that, yes I know there not as fast as your 182's etc but I'm generally very pleased with what I got for my money, after owning a Punto its a huge improvement.. but then so would a rollerskate.

Anyway to the point, the dude that sold me it stated rather astutely that it has no rear speakers from factory, and even went to the extent of proving his point by showing me the fader.. yeah well done. Ok, seeings the grills are there, both in the door cards and beside the parcel shelf, would that mean the wiring is there.. somewhere? I know it's not hard to wire in new speakers anyway but I figure being a new car I don't particularly want to pull it to bits right now. I can't see Renault having an entire new loom as the Dynamique he showed me did have rear speakers, so surely they haven't made an entirely new loom just for the Extreme?

Anyway any advice on this is welcomed. Like I said being pretty nifty with the old I.C.E I can fit speakers near enough anywhere, just being my new little baby I don't have the heart just yet to start ripping bits out left right and centre. Just wondered if theres a simple answer, like the wires are there tucked up behind somewhere or something.

Cheers, Tom.

I think we've had this before with extremes (or was it dynamiques?) I've got rears in my extreme, so by assumption I'd say the loom is there somewhere.
Although, can I ask why you want rear speakers? I mean, in terms of SQ you might as well leave the rear fill as it'll pull the soundstage back. It might be better for you to just consider upgrading the fronts.
