Clio GT DCI 106 shift light

Hi Guys,

had my GT for about 2 months now and have noticed that i have a shift up/down light on the clock but doesn't light up through out the rev range was this an optional extra? what revs should this light up from?

Any advice would be great

Yeah, took it upto the redline I'll double check tomorrow but I'm sure it doesn't come in after 4k

it may be possible to get it programmed in, but may look abit daft as it would flash while you are at 3750 rpm as thats where the boost runs out, so you dont get a proper red line shift

i'm pretty sure he knew what it was, he wanted to know why they hand wired it up.

I don't doubt he knew, I think they just mass produce the dials and just put a different "face on so to speak" I have know them to work on non sport models but only on the continent

This. Most Mk.2 gauges have shift lights too AFAIK.

the dci 88 eco models have the shift light on them it comes on and tells you when to shift for economy. dci106 doesn't have it

I think the gear up and down lights are dodgy, I have the Expression model and the gear shift light lights up at 2000 rpm and on the same flat in the next gear it comes back on at 3500rpm then wont come on at all if this is the same thing?
