Clio gt

Just picked my new Clio gt 1.6 up from Bradford Renault heard mixed views on here about it's performance and looks I think the car is spot on I'm really impresed with everything about it I know it's nothing like the 200 but I got a really good deal on it really looking forward to going to a cs meet when one come up in my area to show it off a little

Yes did u c it someone bought it for nearly 15k with extras then realised it wasn't sutable for a family car and px it for another renault their loss our gain only had 700 miles on clock when is the next Clio meet ?

noo you rang richard glennon at work yesterday and he was telling me about it. (work with him). you got abit of a bargain there mate.

diesels quicker, cheaper tax, twice if not more mpg

the dci106 needed a bit more power to start with on paper is quite a bit slower 0-60 11.1 the road tax is 120quid a year its 950quid more 50mpg

the road tax is only 150quid for the petrol 0-60 9.3 30mpg

both have plus points imo

surely dci 106 is going to get similar only slightly worse due to weight MPG compaired to my dci100 and i can get 65mpg without to much hastle, driving very quick i get 50+

acceleration wise from the line the high reving 1.6 is going to be quicker but in gear 60+ the dci will pull on it (compairing my dci 100 to mates ph1 rsi (i beleive gt has a slightly more powerfull engine than the old 110bhp 1.6 16v? but weight difference in a ph1 to ph2 will help eaven it out)

personally dci 106 would be the one for me! does the 1.6 have the 6 speed box?

both 6speed

the gt uses the same engine as the twingo rs but with a 6speed box

based on my dci86 getting 56mpg best ive seen 59mpg working it out at the pump the trip is useless its claiming 63mpg

a cooper d is also worth looking into ;)

I totally agree which is why I went for the diesel GT. Hopefully it will be worth the wait (delivery in septemeber).

been driving around in the petrol gt looking on the mpg its averaging around 30 mpg nearly done a tank full in 2 days but i have done a lot of driving also anyone ordering one i would defo go for the sat nav its so accurate and warns u of upcoming accidents or congestions the best sat nav ive ever seen . does anyone on here have the diesel model yet would like to know what the acceleration is like?

Thanks for info about the satnav. I don't think there are any diesels out yet. I've searched everywhere for reviews and info on the diesel and only find the petrol version. I ordered a Clio GT dci 106 at the beginning of may and it's not being delivered until September, so I guess they've not started building any diesels yet.

we were very lucky getting this gt went into renault pricing both models up they told us their were a waiting list so went away deciding then out of no where renault called saying someone had had brought back the showroom gt because it was too small for havnt seen another on the road yet

I've seen two. Both Malta blue like mine. One going the other way just coming out of my town, and another on the way out of silverstone at this years GP. I was like

OH HAI!

Looks good, like the wheels but they were a b**ch to clean when I had mine. Those look more like grey than silver though.
