does any one know if there is any inputs on the back of the standard CD player that comes with the car! for either a mp3 player or ipod

You can get something that plugs into the changer or aerial socket.
Havnt heard of any good reviews yet though!

There is no direct input for the origional HU

There are products out there that can input via the FM antenna and possibly the cd changer.

Worthwhile just buying a cheap HU with inputs OR a HU with mp3 playback (probably same cost as the input units)

I found the input unit online for £40 and plan to buy one for my 172.

How can i tell if i have the "update list" model. or the original HU

It'll either say tuner list on the front or update list on the front.

been lookin for one of these too cant find on bought a wire from blaupunkt it said you plug it ito the cd changer and it will work with a ipod etc, it dont wok tho
