Clio History

I've been doing a bit of reading on the history of the Clio, looking at all the different Marques, Models etc. But I can't find anything to do with the Clio Biarritz 1.2 (my model). Its an R reg (98), black Clio Biarritz special edition.

What are the differences between the Biarritz and the 1.2? It doesnt seem so special tbh, it has no door speakers, no rear speakers, no fog lights (yet it has a fully functioning button - which beeps at you if you leave it on), the wiring and fixings for a light in the boot but no light..etc etc :S

I'd be very grateful for any info on the car, thanks.

oh bummer. well I owned a clio oasis 1.2 mk1 ph3 I don't think that's anythink like similar to your biarritz though.

It was one of the last special edition mk1 clios based on the 1.2rn they had the later D7F engine (60hp) same as the mk2s (but a little quicker) and they should have central locking, imobilizer, sunroof and 4 speaker stereo as standard. They are also insurance grp3.

Yes it has all of the above. When you say 4 speaker stereo, do you mean the HU has 4 speaker outputs or 4 speakers in the car. (sorry to sound picky, just looking for detail)

Im pretty sure even though I didn't have one they would have 4 speakers mate, my Oasis had 4. though the back 2 we're seriously poo

No, it has sponge things in the back where the speakers should be, lol. They have been there since day one like, no one has change them. Cant see why they would tbh.

I have two poo component speakers either end of the dash, but Ive installed a Pioneers into each of the doors (the cable was waiting for me when I took the door cards off - which was nice of Renault)

Im not sure tbh but I would have thought it should have 4 speakers and sounds like someone has butchered your boot light if the wiring is there. They didnt have fog lights.
