clio is going

  polo, here for lols
well last night it was decided. in two weeks time i hand my clio's keys over to my brother. :( it was a sad day for me, he didn't seem to care too much, hopefully he will treat it well. it might be old and have loads of little dings, rattles, faults (all of which are now his problem!! :rasp:) and scratches but i love it too bits. On the plus side when im down and around my parents house (where he lives) i can drive it and get priority over him with it apparently, although im only around here a few months in a year. sorry for the moan but just thought i should give it a mention

what ever is next probably wont be for a while as funds are extremely tight at the moment, being a student and all that jazz. i also live walking distance away from everything i actually need so there is no need at the moment. despite that i guess i will almost feel naked without a car lol. I was thinking maybe a pug 106 rallye s1, xsi or gti or maybe even a 206 gti (quite expensive). failing that a ph1 rsi perhaps. i don't actually know. ive got a budget of about £2500 MAX, but the cheaper the better tbh, also insurance is a major major factor. so do the cs masses have any suggestions?

Saxo VTR?

Good handling car and cheap to insure - group 7, iirc?

every one is suggesting a saxo but i just don't like them, i think they look abit too try hard. i might consider one, was thinking of a c2 equivalent but that would be way too expensive

It wont be cheap insurance when your running 220bhp with the mods declared.

Best bet would be a C2 GT, there quicker than a Saxo VTR and an insurance group lower (6).

110 bhp and 0-60 in 8.7 there no slouch, 40mpg was the norm when i had mine

i do like the C2 GT, just had a look at them and they seem a tidy car but they are a wee bit too expensive i feel :(

just been checking insurance prices, what a joke, for an s1 rallye its more than the car costs!! it is also more than the insurance on a polo gti :S

206 GTi's are so f**king cheap now... £1,500 will give you loads of choice! I actually prefer the looks in a way to the 1*2's, but...

Be warned of this if you're considering one, my suffered from it and eventually made me get rid of the car after been driven mad for two years! :dapprove:
