clio mk1 petrol tank capacity

last night i was fueling my car as it was on empty and so i put £25 in 29 litres and the gauge went over full haha how much can those tanks take anyone know?

think the mk2 tanks are 45 litres.. but that doesnt help in the slightest!

I think they are roughly 27 litres give or take... can't remember off the top of my head but I'm sure they defo ain't more than 30 litres. Costs me roughly £28 to fill up.

reyt ok, same here, buyt iun the manual and in the haynes book it says 43 litres for mk1 up to 1.4 and then 50 for the valvers and wilaims... so whats goin on here then. i get about £28 in at the moment.

i only get about 210 miles if im good with it what do you guys get?

if i put 10ers in i get about 70 mile for 20quid i get about 160 and for the 25 i put in yesturday im still goin on it lol

When i put in £25 my MK1 RSi that gives me between 1/2 and 3/4 tank from nearly empty?

and is it just me or does the 1st half of a tank always go faster than other half lol?

that is true for mk 2's aswell!!

full to 3/4 not bad speed.
3/4 to 1/4 fast
1/4 to empty-needles up and down like a *****s nickers!
still not had petty light come on yet,t he needle was below empty ... :s
