Hey,
Bought a 1994 rsi and drove it 200 miles home no problem at all, was driving the car to work the next week it was fine for the first 10mins but then the whole car seemed to jerk and had to use the clutch to build up enough power to get it moving to a safe place. Turned the car off waited about 5mins, turned it back on and it drove fine.
However it continued to do that and it gradually got worse.
Took it to Renault and that was a big waste of time, they replaced the receiver by the sunroof and said that was the problem.
It didnt solve it though, its gradually got worse and in the end it wouldnt start. The car will turn over but wont start i found the fuel pump didnt have a signal, so bridged that and it still wouldnt start, checked to see if the distributor had a signal and it hasnt..
Any ideas? immobiliser? if so any way to wire around it and where its actually located?
The sunroof also leaks and not sure if water has got into the wiring, pretty sure its because the motor doesnt work
so if anyones got a spare sunroof motor for sale!!
