Clio mk2 ph1 immobiliser problem HELP

Ive recently had my key apart to change the batteries, but was interrupted for some time with the key apart with no battery inside it, eventually put in new battery and it opened the doors but will not start the car, the red light flashes fast. im assuming the key has lost sync with the ecu, and i would imagine its not cheap the get sorted at renault so any ideas?

Have you sorted this? mine sometime does this and I read somewhere just put your key in the ignition press the button hold it in then turn the key works everytime for me and since I've been doing this mine starts without doing it most the time now
