Clio Morego 202

  Lionel Richie
+£600 for fitting aswell

similar to what we do, but i question the quality of the parts used (and the power claim!)

i still can't figure it out
package is £1250

pannel filter = £50
cat back = £300-£500
cam = i would imagine upto £350 MAX for JUST the inlet (depending if its a billet)
chip = ??

how are you going to fit the cam on your own? and how do you remap your own ECU??

does their £600 fitting price include a new cambelt?

loads of questions to ask!

  Evo4, MITO, 172 TTV6
setup looks ok for the price I guess but never heard of the company!

and what fred said doesnt mention fitting.

  BMW M3
I'm not really interested in their conversion, but i am liking the exhaust.

About the right size, nice tone when pushed and quiet at m/way speed... Just what i'm after !!

  Lionel Richie
its not cams plural, its a SINGLE inlet cam

its possible, it just seems very cheap IMO (ie do they change the cambelt and pullies for that price?)

i would like to know the origins of the cam too, is it a billet or a reground original?

Justin have you seeen and heard the exhaust in the flesh?

No mate... just going on what they say and other reviews.

I would obviously ask for a go in their clio 202 before making any decisions.

What about the www.ladmotorsport.co.uk conversion - claims of 200bhp for £1200 including fitting?

you aint been here long have you mate :clown:

LAD dont fair too well on here, and if you search online im sure you can find many reports of cars actually having LESS power when they come out of LAD

LAD seem to be the only tuners who gasflow the 172 head?
GDi/BenR/Yozzasport can get the head ported as part of there packages availiable.

After seeing there work which had been done on a members car I'd keep well away you'll have more power as standard.
LAD got themsleves a reputation on many forums with there poor quality work, lack of proof of power and unwillingness to prove there claims.

Only one place to go for headwork.
What head work are we on about here again?

All head work goes though you anyway just depends who's the reciepts from anyway doesn't it?

  Tangoed Works
Looks like they are only including a new inlet cam from what I can gather. Seems to be good value for money if the power claims ca be justified. WOuldprefer to do the "real" route thought, if ther is such a thing. Inlet panel filter, full exh inc de cat, cams, matching and proper standalone remap.

  172 cup'd extreme
any respected Tuners and sellers go to their market ie: here like Ben, andy, fred and yoz and john2modified you never hear from morego and Lad motorsport etc

I have met Brian and he is an extremely knowledgable bloke. I don't think there is any point guessing what BBR GTI do, just phone them up and ask!

I think its massively unfair to insinuate that they don't do much without actually asking. BBR GTI is a business, not one bloke, they're not going to trawl forums looking for customers...

Renault is a business, yet we still have the guy from renaultsport post on here, K-tec and BBPT both post on here, PiperX post on here, why shouldnt we expect BBR to post? If they thought about it, they would know that the product they are offering will be of interest to car enthusiasts that are likely to use forums like this, and I would have thought, going on these sites to offer answers to the queries raised by its members is a worthwhile cause.

As Martin has said, you have taken for granted that everyone knows what an internet forum is. I have seen tuners/suppliers on Lotus forums that have given up because everything ends up in a slanging match where their reputation is risk because of some BS story.

Anyway, probably best BBR don't come on here as they'd be a few libel cases! ;)

  Audi A6 (S3 on order)
Well let them carry on building their 1984 sierra engines then. Sooner or later they will need to get with it if they want to compete in todays marketplace.

A lot of what Ben (AngelWorks) does on the development side is heavily reliant on computer calculations and data modeling.

flow analysis figures on an A4 jotter ?? I dont think so.

As for the slanging matches, well, thats life ;) its just made visible on a forum.

Well there we go...you're saying BBR GTI are old school, which you perpetuate as being worse, without ever dealing with them.

Good to see we are dealing with cold hard facts on Cliosport, lol!

  Weeman sucks ****
I remember seeing the review in EVO of this a while back.

Slightly random question but why aren't angleworks/gdi and the other tuners that do all the work mentioned above have an article in EVO, Autocar and such?? Just curious, surely that would help?

BBR will have got it because they are such a big firm and because of the way they are marketing the packages. Angelworks, GDI etc dont market there products in the same way and are smaller firms.
