clio not starting. DF067 ring decoder

Please help. I have a Renault clio mk2 about a month back it started having problems starting, especially in the morning. Read a blog and someone mentioned the crank shaft positioning sensor. I removed and cleaned it and the problem solved. Then it started losing power on up roads and i was told i have to change my spark plugs. The ciol sign would come on and the car would loose power nomater how you rev. A colleague taught me how reset the computer abd the coil sign would go and the car would work normally. The next thing is the car would show the coil/electronic fault sign and would just rev itself and the rev pedal would not work. That stoped on its own but now it just cut while driving home one night and wouldn't start. It just cranks. Ive changed the spark plugs and the coil but same story. Ive got a Renault agent to do diagnosis and he tells me its the key. Code DF067 decoder connection, invalid key , DF069 decoder ring connection circuit to earth. He adviced to get another key. Its almost impossible for as he suggests i go back to dealer and order new key then call him again to come program it in the computer.

I've really tried everything and this is just too much. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Unfortunately i dont have one and getting one where i am is a big hustle.
Checked my rely and fuse box the other day and just by touching the fuses and relys the car would turn on and light on the dash board without keys. Traced every cable and insulated and replaced clips and this stoped.checked my crank shft sensor and the plug cables we shafed so i insulated them. Got spark now but on lead 2 and 3. No spark on 1 and 4.

Is the decoder ring what the key 'speaks to'?

Is the ECU and the immobiliser coded together - so you can't replace one without replacing the other?

I was thinking you could find another, crashed car and then transfer the ECU and immobiliser and locks and key across, but it is a lot of work and I don't think it would work! :(

I have the same issue in my Ph1.
Press the keyfob button as you turn the key to start the car, mine starts using that trick!

Found the problem. Its the cables for my positioning sensor plug that were worn and causing a short circuit. Had to get my old coil back though. Thanks
