Clio playing up!

When I first started it, it was really lumpy and stalled (with foot on the clutch/not in gear)

Then when I try again, its reving between 1000-1500rpm and is really jerky/lumpy (still stationary with foot on the clutch/not in gear) and theres a really strong smell of petrol (half a tank in there..)

The electrical light has popped up on the dash board (see below)

Any ideas?
