Note to mods, I didn't know where this topic best to go as I don't know where the bloody rattle is.
I've got a Clio 1.4 RT Mk1 Phase 2, With Electric sunroof.
This is a general question my Clio has been making a gawd awful rattle like theres a couple of ball bearings loose somewhere anyway upon reading a few posts I took the seal around the sunroof off and stuck my hand in I retreived a loose bolt which was just rolling around the sunroof encloser at it's lesure.
Now I'm still getting a horrible noise you know like in the cartoons when they jump of a diving board and it goes like a diong noise well everytime I go over the slightest of bumps that what my clio sounds like,
Anyway I've managed to pin point it to the roof area, behind the sunroof so just in front of the rear seats theres a sort of lip if I push that up it stops the rattle, I've tried padding it inside with bubble wrap granted not the best thing to use but it's of no help as to stop the rattle it needs pressure on it I think not padding
Also if the sunroof is open, like I said above it's electric so the glass slides out rather than just tilts up the noise pretty much disappears.
Anyone got any suggestions or maybe have the same problem as me and has some tips I'm not a perfectionist (sp?) who wants to hear a pindrop I wouldn't have gone for a 6 yo French car if I was but this rattle is really really annoying and upsetting as I can't even turn my music up as it just makes it worse although thats probabaly down to the 12" sub in the boot..
