hi guys n galls.been reading the various threads regarding the service/srs lamp illuminated problem.can i suggest my remedy.remove top of dash after disconnecting the battery.remove clocks but leave connected .reconnect battery.turn on ignition and note which section of clocks house the the 2 leds that illuminate for service and srs lamp.disconnect clocks and seperate until rear of leds exposed.get a srewdriver and destroy the 2 offending leds...you may think i am mad but why do you need a service indicator???dont your mechanics stamp your service books?????dont you have the memory to service once a year/every 12000 miles????regarding the srs system why do we need it???half of the time they dont go off in a serious collision or will deploy if you hit a kerb or pothole!!!!!!vehicle construction is much safer nowadays with crumple zones and side impact rails to protect you.if your srs warning lamp is illuminated when you present your vehicle for an m.o.t test it will fail.however if it doesnt illuminate at all this is a pass and advise...(PLEASE NOTE THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO ABS LAMP)... hope this is helpful to you all out there..
