is this machining marks the same on all sport models
 
Yes, standard In all 182's , unsure about 172's.

When i trawled back through the forum looking to answer a similar question the only thing i found was that the port shape varies a little. By how much and which machining is better or worse i don't know. The exhaust side seems to be more of an issue with the PH1 having the better exhaust ports and everything after being based on the turbo casting. Saving costs maybe!? But if they could get want they want from a cheaper option why not.

The CFM for the head is pretty good for a standard offering as long as you don't include honda in that.
