Clio tire pressures

  Renaultsport Mégane R26

Hi there everyone. Taking the old 1.2 16V Dynamique on a little trip up to Norfolk for a few days of golf tomorrow morning. Just wondering whether anyone has any advice for the journey in regard to what the correct tire pressures are and whether there are any other things i need to take into consideration (other then the speed limit!)

Many thanks for all your time,

Dave

Tyre pressures are a personal choice really - start on the lowest the handbook recommends and go for a drive, then pump em up to the max it recommends and go for the same drive. (Make sure you get plenty of hard cornering in). Then, work your way between the two to find what youre happiest with. :)

I think the rears should be a tiny bit softer than the fronts (1 to 2psi perhaps?), to make the breakaway more gradual.

If youre going for a long, high speed run then I think youre supposed to pump them up a bit more than usual. Same applies for if you have heavy passengers/luggage!

If you have more people in the car yoiu need a bit more pressure.

For high speeds (over 100) you need to lower the pressure though.

So long as your pressures messure up with what the book syas youll be fine

Remember to check the spare tyre pressure as well.
