Clio Turob?!?!?!?!?



  Turbo Convesion Started!!
I know it has been asked soooo many times, and i have even asked myself, but i now need to know EXACTLY what i need to change and what i can keep to convert my mk1 RSi into a volvo 440 turbo engine!!!

This is because i am starting to get the bits up together and am looking to pick up an engine in the next couple of months!!!!

Can someone please help who has had this done as i need to start having definate bits i need to start collecting, and also some pics of converted clio engine bays would be nice too!!!!!!!

well, if you set it up properly, aparantly at least 200bhp with a chip!!!
Well worth doing especially as i am thinking of putting a t3 turbo, chip and cam kit on it!!!

I would also like to flare my rear arches like this!!!!!
Does anyone know where i can get a mould from for these rear arches?

I am in the process of doing this just now, you need engine, a clio gerarbox, 16v driveshafts, ECU, Rsi engine mounts, custom made down-pipe. Think thats it, its not a straight forward fit and there is problems with the drivers side engine mount. The volvo head sometimes only has two bolt holes for the mount and sometimes dosent fit.

power wise 170 is about the most it can run on the standard T2 turbo. But can run 220 with some custom mapping and some bigger injectors. You would be better with a T25 as they work better on these engines than the T3's (too much lag). Let me know how you get on and Pm me if you need any more help.

No bother mate will keep you informed. You have to rember the other things like brake upgrades (just put Willy ones on mine) and some proper suspension (coilovers on the way). Other things like getting it rebuilt, new shells, bearings, rigs etc, my enginering shop bill will be around the £600 mark. And insurance as well.

Just some stuff to think about.
