Red would be my first choice, followed by Blue
black is lovely, but you are quite right when you say keeping it clean is a pain in the arse - it really is difficult to keep it clean - the back of it in this weather, where the roads are dirty, not just wet, is like a magnet for all stuff vile !!!
but having said that , there is only one other colour I would have .... and its not listed above

What a car, could honestly look at that picture all day and not get sick of it! Out of the 3 colours I prefer the black, but to be boring and practical it would have to be the blue..even over the red.

Blue defo. Its not like vees are common anyways so nobody can say they are all in that colour.

So after much umming and erring ... Ive finally ended up ordering a red one too.
Was originally going to go for red ... looked so good on the Top Gear review of the Mk2. But then I changed my mind to silver (which is why I had the pictures to post in the above reference thread). Decided that being all silver would look good ... and is a rare colour for a Mk2. Also love my silver 172. In then end tho I came back round to red ... I think
Honestly, whilst the V6 is never going to be a subtle car, the Mk2 front is significantly less obvious that the Mk1 V6. In the end I decide that a bright colour with obvious silver scoops would look good ... if Im paying £27k for a car I suppose I do want it to stand out and people to look at me. Other colour I thought about was the newly available Liquid Yellow (vs. the awful Acid Yellow). No way Im paying extra for paint tho!
