Clio V6 or Focus RS

Just a quick one! I would just like to have all your views as to what you would prefer given the money.. a Focus RS or a Clio V6???

Would love to hear your views, and the reason behind your choice!

Cheers...

V6 Because its mid engined rear wheel drive.

It also looks fantastic and its quicker than the RS etc

I do like the RS, but front wheel drive isnt the best and the colour is a bit purple looking

Tough one! They both look well beefy, I prefer the clios exterior looks but the focuss interior. I recon the V6 might just have the edge for me.

Depends, in standard form the V6 every time - visual impact alone will have a non car enthusiast wetting themselves with pleasure.

BUT if you wanna play with a car a little bit the FRS is gonna be alot easier to tune up.

I bet its also alot cheaper to repair and service as well as the fact the Focus prob wont de-value as quick as the V6.

Agree though the front wheel drive on the focus isnt apealing for the money.

So my final answer - Escort Cosworth :)

Thanks for the input guys, the Escort Cosworth bit at the end i liked! Try and find a nice one though. In Newcastle where im from your very lucky if you see one. I would love one but it comes down to finding one that hasnt been hammered into the ground by some little spotty freak whos parents have just bought him it for his birthday, he has a heavy foot and no respect for the beast that he has at his feet!.

how much do you reckon you could get one of them for now? about 12 Grand? or more...

Oh and by the way, im not thinking of a V6 or RS, just seen one the other day. Was at a roundabout and some oldish guy had one and i thought it just looked sexy as hell, thought to myself "Hmmm what would i prefer" was interested in others views... Dont get me wrong i would love either one but ive just bought a house so bye bye to that idea!. I will just have to settle for my little Speedy Rollerskate! I suppose i would go with the V6, the only thing that would sway me is the fact of the practicality of it. Only has 2 seats....

My mate bought an abolsute mint Cossie summer last year.

Its a 1992 K plate (big turbo) and it only had 30k on the clock - seriously the thing looks brand new and drives and sounds like a brank new car.

He paid £15k for it and I reckon its worth every penny - its just so fast for a standard car. He travelled along way to find it as well.

Also know another guy with a 1995 N plate (small turbo) thats modded his up to 284bhp and that (obviously) is even quicker. Its auralis blue which is a well nice shade of silver. Dunno what he paid for that though.

My pals 23 but addmittedly hes insured under his parents names.

Fcuk it though, if I could afford the car and my parents would do it for me then I would too.

And yes Auralis blue is actually silver (although in some lights it has a blue colour to it. Its a smart colour and really suits the car. Which has also got 19s and coilover (which helps!!)

I dont normally like silver but some of Fords shades have been good over the years. Moonstone for instance!

Its a kinda Purple/Silver colour I think!

If I had no friends Id go for the V6, but if I wanted to have passengers then it would be the RS.

Got to be the Houcs Pocus Focus. Nothing against the V6 but get the focus chipped and you are looking at serious power. I have been informed 165mph and 300 bhp is no problem for it.

V6. Its just a bit different than a fast hatch (very fast!) and looks better also. But at £27000 you would still want more omppphhhh

So there you have it.........Evo 8

yeah but if the spotty little freaks parents bought the car for birthday then they would prob buy the insurance too.

RS - more subtle - similar perf - still got bag fulls of road presence

The Vee six will attract more attention than A Ferrari !! Youll be frightened to leave it anywhere!!! Thats my main concern actually - maybe if I bought a crap car to leave in car parks when going out I might go for the V6. At least youd have a hope of disguising the RSs credentials, the V6 looks mental from all angles.

you gotta be real about these things - if someone is gonna nick it they are gonna nick it - whether its in a car park or on the drive unfortunately.

when I bought my 172 I said similar paranoid comments to him, he said, "Kathy - its only a car, and it is insured" made me think !! :D

you cant not buy a car in case it gets nicked for goddsssake !!!

V6 for sure

FRS are nice and a pucker ltd edition etc but come on a V6 is in a totally different league!

That said I would get a vx220 turbo over both :)
