As a guide probably 21; but if you've got enough money you can get insured on anything.

There are plenty of very early twenties guys on here with vee's. So obviously not too much trouble to insure.

It's a myth that you have to be certain ages for certain cars. Yes you have to try different companies, but someone will do it for a price. Some are ridiculous, Direct line wont touch anything with even an induction kit,unless the driver is 25, lol.

As an example, that c**t from Busted, Charlie Eyebrow-freak or whatever his name is, had a 360 modena when he was like 20 or something.

There not as much to insure as you'd think. I got my mk1 when i was 21, with 2 yrs ncb, just under £1500 with elephant.

I bet a ctr would cost no less than that.

Mate of mine got lucky, ended up being paid a hell of a lot of money with a car allowance so went and got a £30,000 Saab convertible, 2.0ltr turbo. He was 19 or 20 at the time.

Cost him £9000 a year to insure it!!! Even for the amount he was earning that was OTT and strangely enough he's 24 now and filed for bankruptcy!!!
