I would be really gratefull if anyone could give me a target price for both a new Mark 2 V6 and for second hand. Is there anywhere in particular that i should be looking?

Would I be write in thinking £27k new £25k second hand (low mileage)

Have a look on autotrader - they come up regularly. If you want a new one you can just walk in to your local dealer and pick one up for around £25k. Some of the brokers are advertising them for £23k or £24k, but thats an awful lot of money to spend with people youve never met.

So If these people can supply a V6 then its really a £20k car or less. A 182 is actually about £5k.

I wonder if anyone knows the factory cost price?

And metallic paint. Wasnt aware you could get the dash inserts as an option? Add these too.

I would investigate Lloyds TSB Carselect, I have used them and SteveV6 bought his V6 from there. I think both of us would highly recommend them.
