Clio V6

Sooooo vee6 a question for you...........................would you rather have been around the clock a few times and paying a grand or 20 and paying 3grand:D..................by the way Im only joking around here;) sometimes you golden oldies can take things to heart eh:D

Is that a V6 you have and do you or does anyone else know where there is one for sale.....................Im keeping an eye on the one ebay at the mo but if something comes up then Ill just do it.

theres a few on autotrader but at your price they are higher milage.

im sorely tempted to upgrade to a blue mk2 now, so when i get mine back from reno, it may hit the market.

There is one on Autotrader £14995 Mk1 only 4k miles.

Most for that price seem to be between 12k and 19k mileage

Stuart, Im 25 with a MK2 and I pay £750 with Admiral.

Fully comp. £3K + is rediculous

Shmall...............the V6 in the Autotrader with 4K miles is the one that I just missed.....................it was actally 3300miles and as I say I just missed it.........it sold on Tuesday:(

And Simon there appears to be no choice when youre 20...............its 3K + or no car.....................Admiral just like Tesco, Norwich, Adrian Flux etc etc all have age restrictions on the V6....................insurance companies that are prepared to insure a 20year old are few and far between....................the way its happened to me is that once you get your foot in the door and come renewal then the price drops a fair bit..............or at leats that wht happened with my Pulsar GTi-R and 2.0 16v Nova.

Stuart,

I have had both the mk1 and mk2. They are totally different. The mk 1 felt very sluggish in comparison to the mk2 with a lack of mid range power.

The handling of the mk2 is much improved, but still is a bit on a handful in the wet.

If I were you, I would pay that bit more and get a 255, its in a different league to the 230, and looks a lot nicer at the front.

mk1 is still awesome and the original hooligan IMO. mk2 is more refined though, but an extra 7k is alot of money. id of bought the mk2 if i had the money, but for now my mk1 is still amazing and im perfectly happy with it.

Hi Stu, my mate used to own a Pulsar GTI-R then he too bought a mk1 V6, this is about 2-3 years ago. Just interesting how your going from one to the other... he he hee....

Good luck in buying your pimpness of a car :D

Cool if he was on the R owners site I may well have come across him.

Also Id have a 255 in a minute but the pennies dont allow it but, accepting that I havent even heard a V6 Clio never mind driven one, I recon Ill be really happy with the Mk1........................until the pennies allow for a Mk2 eh.
