Clio V6

Looking at purchasing a Clio V6 ph2, the car I am looking at has done 54k and is silver - #26.

Any advice on things to look for when I view it would be great. It needs a cambelt and service which I am budgeting £2k for.

Also any previous owners of it on here?

Rust. I wouldn’t go near a V6 (or a more expensive 172/182 for that matter) without being able to see it on a ramp.

they’re old now, and French. With a lot of plastic hiding the metalwork.

cambelt seems to always turn in to a clutch as well. (Engine is out so it makes sense)

make sure you carry out a HPI check and also a history check from the likes of V Check.

Personally I’d allow a little nearer to £3k if you are planning on keeping the car, you probably could do the cambelt for £2k but It was a lot easier to sort everything out at once for me than travel back to the specialist to sort any future problems. I’ll attach the parts that i did when in for the cambelt.
