Interior rear view mirror fell off metal bracket

Help needed please. Rear view mirror has fell off the metal bracket attached to windscreen. The speaker is on the mounting. I have tried to slide it back on, but it rattles. Can’t use the phone if connected to car as no one can hear me through the rattling noise. Any advice would be appreciated. How do o fix the mirror securely to metal plate. I have tried to research it but can not find anything.

@Jasper191 - they do have a habbit of falling off - to attach it again you slide it from down to up. So hold the mirror an inch below the plate then slide it upwards. Once you have figured out how to mount it, remove it again and youll need to get some silicone sealant - coat the bottom of the mirror in it, then slide the mirror up in to place.

Its fiddly but you can do it!

The microphone is actually next to the medianav screen not the mirror. there isnt any electronics in the mirror.

Thankyou for replying. When it falls off there are wires. It’s left dangling. It’s a grey mirror and housing.
