Clio VIN/chassis number decode

Hello, I am new to the forum. I've just put a deposit down on a Clio 182 and I was wondering if anyone knew how to decode all the characters on the car's VIN? I just want to verify that the car is exactly as it should be and would like to know what each character relates to.

I've tried searching everywhere but no joy.

HMM not sure, but you can ring renault and they will verify the build spec of the car and also what, if any warranty work has been completed on it.
