Clio Williams -95 brake upgrade

  Clio Williams
Hi,
Do anyone know if Clio 2.0 16V Sport (Clio II) front brakes (disks, calipers) can be mounted into 1995 Clio Williams (I mean just to swap parts without modification to them)? Would be easy & economical brake upgrade from 260/20mm to 280/24mm system. Do you recon to change main brake cylinder form Clio II too?

needs to be moved to Mechanical....;)

Yozzasport do Wilwood upgrades for the Williams.

Give Fred at Yozzasport a call on 0776 971 2624

it can be done but your need some brackets made up to space the caliper to get on the bigger disc.
I have the yozzasport wilwood kit on my car and its brilliant.
Join up to clio-willliams.co.uk a guy on there called 'king stromba' is having the brackets copied, then all you need is the calipers, its a cheaper way of doing it and no doubt quicker.

My plan was just simply to buy 16V Sport 280mm front disks and calipers if they fit simply to Williams Clio. If not, then thought to buy 16V Sport disks (note that their "height" is identical to Williams) and to buy calipers. Good alternative is to use Porsche Boxter calipers, they are also for 24mm thich disks and are made of aluminum. They are plenty of available for reasonable price and it's relatively simple to make adapters to them. I do not believe new Wilwoods etc. are better, for sure not cheaper.
So, it looks caliper swap (Sport to Williams) is not that sure?
