Glacier White PH1
Afternoon all,
Been lurking around cliosport for many months now reading the clio projects board and what not and thought i'd ask a question myself.
To be honest I'm new to driving, picked up a 1.2 Clio Mk2Ph1 in November, done over 2,000 miles as a learner driver since then and have really grown to love the little thing (the white one in my picture, nothing special but if anyone does want a full size picture, do ask) .
Anyway, the point has come where I have passed my theory test and am now looking in to taking my practical test. Upon looking at the Directgov website, to my disappointment I found this:
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/LearnerAndNewDrivers/PracticalTest/DG_173036
This kind of sucks big time, as I am really used to my car and wish to take the test in it, however there are a few options...
On the website it simply says:
You must provide one of the following at your test, as evidence that the bonnet catch has been checked:
Obviously my second choice is to go to the Renault dealer and have the catch checked with written proof, and my question for this is, would it cost me? I shouldn't think it should do, as its a safety recall, but after paying £175 for a new key I wont hold my breath
Sorry for the boring read all, have a good day.
thanks :approve:

You must provide one of the following at your test, as evidence that the bonnet catch has been checked:
- a current MOT test certificate
- if the vehicle is less than 12 months from first registration, the registration certificate (V5/V5C) could be used as confirmation that the vehicle has been recently checked on a pre-delivery inspection
- written confirmation from a Renault dealer that the bonnet catch has been checked - this confirmation must be less than 12 months old on the date of the test
