Clip Software Qs

Would this software be useful for running prior to buying a car? I'm not exactly sure what it can do but wondered if it shouted faults that you might ordinarily miss. .
Id of freely avaliable? Can anyone buy a copy?

well, CLIP is necessary. Many possibilies avaliable, program injectors, read/clear DTCs, bleed brakes...It worked a treat to clear the service lights I had lit up since a faulty EGR was fixed etc.
but there are two versions CLIP: A quality and B quality. Of course A is better than B, and cost much than B as well.

But they're CAN's, not CLIP's. Maybe things have changed but when I was working for Renault you couldn't install CLIP on any old machine... had to be a specifically configured laptop from the factory.

Lol mega bump. It can be install on any old laptop these days. I have it running in a virtual machine on my mac.
