Closest Shave ever well done for stopping little Clio!

I have had 1 crash and a few scares.

But Last night was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me driving. I was coming round a blind bend and met a tractor and someone in a 4x4 overtaking the tractor.

I slamed on the breaks and actualy came to a compleate stop on the verge. The 4x4 must have missed by about .5 of a meter. they didn't even try and stop just kept coming!

I feel really weird today. Was pure reactions no thought involved. Not nice. Quite shakey today hoping it will pass soon.

4x4's dont stop for no one in the countryside i have noticed, i experienced that in Gloucestershire not so long ago, had a few scary moments there too with some blind bends!

I reckon they feel safe in the knowladge that their 4x4 beast would just smash right through most cars on the road! Not so good for the rest of us!!

I think they may have heard me swearing from my car though!!

Lol! yeah, they dont even remotely slow down do they. All they saw of me was a big face looking like i was gonna die and they were happy and smily and didnt give a pooh!

I live in South Glos and recently had to skid to halt due to 2 landrover things overtaking on a bend! needless to say my horn was blaring for a good 2 mins! lol

No locking reckon the ABS probably kicked in though nearly put my foot through the floor!!! All so quick don't entirely know what i did just that I was stoped with a wheel on the verge and a bloddy big 4x4 inches away!

Still managed to find the horn!! Glad they didnt hit me or the airbag would have taken my hand off!

i'd have turned round and chased them down. Then given them a right f**king piss baller why its not safe to overtake on a bend.

Some people are just far to impatient for their own good, and will no doubt end up dead or worse killing someone else, just because they want to get to their destination a few seconds sooner!

Wasnt on forsyths road was it? tractors always going up and down there and you get dicks overtaking on the corner

Cheers again guys. It was on the road between Kincardine bridge and Stirling. just before Airth the bit just before Burgoynes Garage. Only went that way caue of roadworks on the motorway! Hate that road had my only crash (with me driving) on it.

hey disco a know that road am from stirling area aswel. one of ma mates just about lost control there in a corsa a few years back due to the same thing

you would think to be patient especially on a blind corner

I drive a clio dynamique DCI it is light blue. Sadly I was working (for penuts) in Glenrothes and commuting from Stirling. So had to go for a desil. Working closer to home now. So hoping to upgrade soon

Although i might be moving to London in the summer so might need to get rid of the car all together!
