clunking noise when turning left

My 1.4 Mk 2 Clio is making a clunking noise when turning left at almost-full lock. It doesnt do it all the time but a little concerned by it. Doesnt seem to do it when turning right. Any ideas what it could be?

I thought mine was my umbrella in the boot but I moved it and its definitely coming from the passenger front wheel!

Mines is knocking from NSR when turning right. This is not all the time however, only when travelling very slowly or very quickly...

FKs fitted 4 weeks ago now. Related...?

thank god pay day is Thursday, just started 2 days ago, thought it was because the car was sitting ouside the flat over the weekend. Looks like a garage job

Popping out just now so will see if the car behaves itself. Any garages you recommend to go to to get this problem fixed?

***UPDATE***

It seems to be happening when turning right as well as left at low speeds. Its like a groaning/creaking noise like too much weight is on it. Hear it when fuller lock is applied.

Still likely to be CV joints?

yep sounds like a cv joint. Is any of your cv joint gaitors split so highlighting the suspect one (run dry). Renault shafts sometimes are a reasonable price so worth a quote. on the other hand you might be unlucky cos sometimes the prices are a joke.

Yup sounds like CV probs. Ive been a victim of this aswell and when one side goes the other is not usually that far away.
