Clutch again

After all the bother i had with trying to get my new clutch cable fitted i finaly got it all done and running but now i'm having other problems the cable is now just slipping right off the release thingy on the pedal :S

Is it time for a new one? if so how much would i be looking to pay also hard job doing?

get a new one from renault. they aound 20 quid. aftermarket ones tend to be to short.
as for fitting, 20 mins top.
