Clutch cable grinding, 172

I only noticed this the other day when i was stuck in traffic when i depress then let the clutch back out the pedal grinds feels like its the cable, do they all do this? i cant remember it doing it before!

cable is prob on its wa out.. new one is

82 00 098 024 CABLE 30.03 ---3 x 1

Cheers mate, how did you find out the code?

You can also try to lubrificate it. I had the same problem, solved by
lubrificate it on the "arm of the clutch". I dunno the exact term but my assistance
do this on my car and it come ok again!
Maybe you like to try this way before change the cable.
