clutch cable/pedal

:evil: can anyone help my clutch cable snapped on my 1.8 16v,i put a brand new cable on it but i could not select gears,so i went to renault,they said that when you change the clutch cable you also have to change the pedal because of the spring system at the back off the pedal,has anyone had the same problem?if so more advice would be nice

Did you use a proper Renault cabel as other copy parts are usless.
No need to chnage the pedal unless the teeth or the tensions thingie are broken etc.
