Clutch Fork Pivot?!?

My main man ;) at Renault has just told me that my car has a problem with the clutch fork pivot???

Anyone shed some light on this? lol

Reason car went in is because the clutch makes a horrible clicking/grinding noise and gets very stiff when pushing clutch in and out. It only happens when the car has been driven for over 20mins!!!

the clutch fork is the bit that disengages the gear iirc. When you push the peddle down, it moves the fork, which moves the clutch away from the gears. Not much help i know...

i assume he means the small plastic pivot bush seen here in white next to the shaft?

I have on idea LOL! But he said something about the engine needing to come out for it to be replaced. Surely thats gonna cost me massesssss!

yes the black arm pivits on the nylon ball,

if the ball wares (un-commen) you get slack and funny noises

sure its not the release bearing?

I honestly have no idea. Mate might be taking the piss for all i know. All i do know is that it makes a really grindy noise when the cars been running for 20minutes or so. Like, as you push in the clutch it clicks!

Just got a call from Renault saying that the new ecu mount that it originally went in for is now not covered by warranty!!! Surely they cant do that???

i had the same problem on my beemer extended warrenty with a clutch bearing.

at first i got.. hahaha no chance.

the second time i went back... the service manager had the work done i got a free keyring LOL

just kick off infront of buyers!
