clutch gone...how bad are clutches to do on ....



  renault clio 1.2 16v
clio 1.2 16v 03 reg... is poo clutch went on way home...any no best way to do it?

Depends how confident you are, not massively difficult but a pain in the ass on the floor.

We had to drop half the subframe to do my old 1.2 iirc, dont think its necessary but it made it a lot easier to gain access.

Its not a difficult job though, biggest problem was removing some of the old bolts.

crane? to support engine? u have access to air tools? what you gotta undo anything unusual?

Everything is pretty standard, just some of it was rusted on hard! We didn't use airtools, but did use a small blow torch to heat up some of the bolts holding the subframe on.

And yes, crane was used to support the engine.
