Clutch gone, won't start now?

okay, was on route to garage for new clutch tomorrow.. felt alot of "bish bashing" in the pedals.. engine cut out, refuses to start..

refuses to start as in its tomuch effort to engage the starter motor.. simular to a flat battery and starter motor just clicks once..

this normal?

no unusual dash lights..

the original problem was a callapsed release bearing..

insurance is recovering it in 40 mins.. do i still take it the garage for new clutch or just bring it home?

a fubard clutch wouldnt stop it fromm starting

its not the engine,.. its the starter motor bein jammed so to speak but i have no idea why... im thinking maybe gearbox mount, or shattered clutch.. any ideas?

I had shattered pressure plate on a different car but drove it home by switching off the engine to get it in and out of gear.

not a snapped timing belt is it and its jammed up.

Sounds to me like the flywheel is jammed
