Clutch goning already, help!!!!

Any one had a clutch go after 13500 miles? is an 02 plate, will warrenty cover it?? HELP PLS!

I think a couple of people have had this happen. Warrenty might cover it, theyll be able to see from it whether youve been riding it or its a manu fault.

mine lasted 60k and that was with trackdays and all sorts. you must drive on the clutch?

warranty will if it is a faulty clutch, if it is worn, you will have to pay for the replacement unit.

put it this way - you will more than likely be paying for it.

well if they wont do it under warranty my mate who is an ex cup race mechanic will change the clutch for £250 (plus £85 for the clutch i think)

Dont think i drive on the clutch any more than a normal. Renault want £850!!! And i only bought the car in july. Have only put 3k on it myself, realy hoping its a fault!

Nice one Fred, can i get his number, the cars gonig to be looked at tomorrow. Will see what they say. Other than that love the car! anyone had the oil cover come off, go down the back on the engine and melt to the exhaust manifold?............it sucks.......and smells!

Renault want £850! crikey! i could prob get it done for about -£150

same has happened to me. granted mine has 36k on it but is same age. The renault twech said it seemed as if something had seized inside the clutch which was causingf the prob. Renault told me clutches are only covered for 12months. you may get a part payment but it would still be cheaper to go elsewhere.



On this subject mine still needs doing im in the Reading area if anyone knows anyone who could supply and fit for cheap? if not iguess its down to Mr Clutch at the end of the month. Its £312 there btw with 2yr warranty
