Clutch issue

Hi

Basically what it is is when I put the car into gear it just gives me constant revs with no or very little movement. Moves fairly normal when it's cold but as soon as it heats up when you accelerate it just gives constant revs. Now, what do we think it is? Clutch? Gearbox? Fluid? And how much would you give an estimate to repair?

probably the clutch, if the car is at rest and u put it in 5th or 4th and slowly let the clutch out it should smoothly stall... if it dosnt then ur clutch is chewd, prices range depending on if u going to do it urself

Clutch slipping I'd say. Although would expect it to do it constantly! No idea on prices probably the usually 200-300 if you take it to a garage.

When the AA guy came he did say it was clutch associated and looking at 150-250 but he isn't completely sure. Going to see if I can get a quote on Tuesday anyway so fingers crossed.

Where are you based? Someone may be able to point you in huge direction of a recommended garage who's not going to rip you off?
